Ahead of the summer season, Villa d’Este confirms this year’s Villa d’Este Style events, celebrating elegance on the shores of Lake Como.
The showcase begins on May 4 with One Lake One Car, an opportunity to admire legendary Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS “Coupé Villa d’Este” classic cars—jewels of automotive manufacturing that captivate car enthusiasts with their iconic beauty. Villa d’Este once again renews its collaboration with Registro Italiano Alfa Romeo.
This event at Villa d’Este showcases the iconic models of Alfa Romeo belonging to the “6C” dynasty, paying tribute to the 6C 1500, designed in 1927, which contributed to the global success of Italian cars.
Between 1949 and 1952, thirty-two cars were built in Milan by Alfa Romeo and Carrozzeria Touring; today, fewer than twenty remain.
The unique setting of Hotel Villa d’Este in Cernobbio will host some of the famous Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS models, accompanied by a curated selection of luxury cars from the 1960s.
The “Coupé Villa d’Este” (Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS) owes its name to the CConcorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, where it triumphed in 1949.
There are only 25 examples in the world: in 2011, Villa d’Este acquired one, bringing the legendary Coupé back to its rightful home.
