Blue Note Off at Villa d’Este Jazz Club

Villa d’Este is ready to set the stage for an exclusive experience in an events series that promises to delight music lovers: Friday Jazz. The iconic five-star hotel in Cernobbio adds an extra note to the autumn season by opening the doors of its resident club, which will become a Jazz Club for the occasion with a lineup of six unforgettable evenings, in partnership with Blue Note, the world-famous jazz club in Milan renowned for the excellence of its performances and unique ambience.

Every Friday night, beginning on 22 November and ending on 27 December, from 8pm onwards, guests at Villa d’Este can enjoy the speakeasy atmosphere of the Jazz Club with performances from Blue Note artists and cocktails concocted by the barmen of Villa d’Este. A selection of bites made to accompany these new musical events will accentuate the night.

The concerts will be held between 9.00 and 9.45pm, followed by an interval, before resuming between 10.15 and 11pm.

This synergy between Villa d’Este and Blue Note Milano not only celebrates jazz in all its nuances as well as a unique opportunity to experience musical culture in an exclusive setting.

We kindly inform you that a minimum spend of €60 per person is required.

    The young talent Francesco Cavestri will inaugurate the festival with a journey through the musical history of Italian cinema and the new artistic expressions of the Bolognese pianist.

  • 29 November 2024 – Stefano Signoroni & THE MC BAND
    “Musica travolgente e charme senza tempo: Stefano Signoroni & The MC Band, il ritmo dell’eleganza”
    The Italian crooner Stefano Signoroni will take to the stage, accompanied by The MC Band, to present his new album "La follia della Dolce Vita". Expect a vibrant and captivating show with vintage charm and magical atmospheres for the audience.

  • 6 December 2024 – Pepe Ragonese Hammond Quartet
    "Sweet Soul Mood"
    Trumpeter Pepe Ragonese will blend groove and soul elements with jazz, delivering a fresh, refined, and contemporary sound.

  • 13 December 2024 – Francesca Tandoi
    "Bop Web and Maybe Christmas"
    Francesca Tandoi, an Italian jazz pianist and singer-songwriter, is admired for her virtuosic technique and energetic swing.

  • 20 December 2024 – Dado Moroni Trio with Riccardo Fioravanti and Stefano Bagnoli
    "Swing at X'mas"
    Renowned Italian pianist and composer Dado Moroni, celebrated for his refined touch and numerous collaborations with international artists, will perform alongside Riccardo Fioravanti and Stefano Bagnoli.

  • 27 December 2024 – GospeL TimeS
    "FEEL THE SPIRIT!"
    GospeL TimeS will recreate the true gospel sound with a full repertoire of spirituals and traditional gospel music, interpreted by exceptional American and British voices.

A selection of signature cocktail curated by Villa d’Este mixologists and purposely designed for the occasion will be memorably served at the jazz nights:

  • the New Orleans, a drink that pays tribute to the birthplace of jazz with its refreshing and piquant notes

  • the Jazz Club, a Mezcal-based drink with smoky vibes

  • the Note Dolci, a delicate gin drink featuring amaretti and dessert wine

  • a Martini selection, from the legendary Vesper to the fresher Lemon Drop, classic Gin and Vodka Martinis;

  • iconic amphora cocktails like Negroni, Martinez, Old Fashioned and Boulevardier.
